Perfect for small patch jobs, drywall repairs, trim work, door installs, and general problem-solving inside the home.
Little problems become big eyesores. Cracks. Dings. Loose trim. That door that doesn’t quite latch unless you kick it (and even then, it’s a gamble). These are the jobs that sit on your list forever because they’re too small for a large contractor and too tedious to mess with on your own.
That’s where The Highland Handyman comes in.
Whether it’s a drywall patch, a paint touch-up, or a utility room redesign —these are the kinds of jobs that get done right. No guesswork. No shortcuts. Just solid, careful work from someone who treats your space like it’s their own.

We're your neighbors, dedicated to serving our community in Colorado with top-notch appliance care.

No hidden fees or surprises. We provide upfront estimates before starting any work and provide transparent hourly rates.

We understand your time is valuable, so we offer same-day or next-day appointments when available.
Because you want someone who’s going to show up, listen, and treat your place like it matters—because it does. You won’t get shortcuts. You won’t get hidden fees. You’ll get honest work, a clean finish, and the kind of craftsmanship you can feel in the details.

Based right here in Southwest Colorado. From Cortez to Durango and everywhere in between—if it’s within reach, it’s within range.
You know that running list—the one on the fridge, in your notes app, scribbled on the back of a bill? The Highland Handyman specializes in knocking those out one by one. No job too odd, no detail too small. Call it a punch list, a honey-do list, or just “stuff that’s been bugging you.” Either way—it’s time to get it done!
No quick fixes here. This work is built to last. Whether it’s a patched wall or a refitted cabinet door, it gets done with materials that hold up and finishes that don’t scream “DIY.”
Sven is absolutely great! I have used his services both for my business and my personal home. He is talented, skilled, trustworthy, and reliable. The icing on the cake is how clean he keeps the workspace by putting up dust barriers and cleaning up very well when he's done. So many good things I can say about Sven. I highly recommend him.

A very meticulous, careful crafts man. He pays attention to detail. He installed cabinets and did a great job. Would definitely use him again.

Sven installed some Home Depot doors for me and did a really good job. Then he professionally painted them and restored the vintage hinges we had and WOW! Sven gave some basic doors a very elevated look. Couldn’t be happier with his work!

Small to medium-sized repairs—usually one-day projects or less. If it’s not full-on remodeling but it needs fixing, it’s probably a good fit.
Not unless you want to. Most jobs are quoted with materials included, unless there’s a specialty item involved. Either way, it’ll be clear upfront.
I do my best! Paint is blended to matched as close as possible to existing finishes. If you’ve got leftover paint, even better.
Every job is different. Some repairs are quick fixes, others take a bit more time and detail work. Reach out for a quote—photos help speed it up.
